United Coffee operates across six European counties: The Netherlands, Spain, United Kingdom, Switzerland, France and Germany.
In addition to these specific operations, United Coffee also manages a diverse range of well known coffee brands across Europe that target the specific local tastes of the various markets in which it operates.
Cafés Excella
- Founded in 1905, Cafés Excella is a French Private Label company
- In 2010, Cafés Excella bought French coffee group Cafés Pivard creating the country's largest private label provider of coffee, as well as one of the biggest suppliers of single portion coffee solutions
- Cafés Excella offers Private Label customers their own brands but it also has its own national brand, "La Tasse", which it sells to French retailers
Campanini
- Campanini offers is own brand, Campanini, to the French out of home market
- It is a strong brand, dedicated to its customers, offers well priced coffee and products of excellence
- It also offers related coffee recipes and products - these include cups, glasses, sugar bowl sticks, stainless steel spoons and non-stick plates
Fairtrade Tea
- Premium herbs, fruits and spices are used to make this premium range of real leaf teas, which are free from artificial flavours and sweeteners
- Each tea blend in this Fairtrade range is tasted before being packaged to guarantee quality in every cup
Cimbali
Cimbali has been producing espresso and cappuccino machines since 1912. The extraordinary passion for quality and a renowned talent for innovation led the company to become an ambassador of the espresso coffee culture in the world.
Gala
- Gala is an international coffee brand which was created in 1818 in 's-Hertogenbosch, the Netherlands
- Gala differentiates itself by producing high quality products at an affordable price
- Gala covers all the main coffee segments and is available for retail sale only
Giger Café
- The brand was created in 1904 in Switzerland and was taken over by Drie Mollen (now United Coffee) in 2003
- Other brand names as part of the Giger Café range include: GINO Il Tuo Caffè, Heidi Coffee and Indor thea
Grand Café
- As the leading out-of-home brand in the UK, ethically-sourced Grand Café provides operators with the best flavour together with the option of three different styles of branding, to suit the style and ambience of the operation
- Branded cups, point-of-sale, signage and full marketing support creates the full café experience, helping the operator to maximise their coffee business
Grand Chocolat
- Developed by some of the world’s finest chocolatiers, the beans for this high cocoa content drink are specially selected for their rich taste and aroma
- Dried, roasted and finely ground, the beans create an intense flavour resulting in a creamy, luxurious hot chocolate
Grand Cru
- Grand Cru is the ‘champagne’ of the coffee world. Sourced from some of the finest coffee plantations around the globe, this fully traceable “hand-crafted, credible coffee” is a rich, distinctive blend that celebrates what really great coffee is all about
Lyons
- Originated in 1904. In 1978, Lyons acquired coffee company, Jndor
- Today, the brand focuses on the gastronomy sector of the industry and produces coffee, tea, as well as complementary products and services
- Examples of Lyons products include the Lyons Coffee Bag, which works in a similar way to a tea bag and allows consumers to enjoy real fresh coffee with little more effort than making instant, and the Cafeteria Sachets which contain the exact amount of fresh coffee for a four cup cafeteria
- Sustainability is central to the Lyons coffee brand, and it was the first coffee brand in the UK to be awarded the Rainforest Alliance certification
Merkur Kaffee
- Merkur was first established in Switzerland in 1905 and changed its name to Merkur Kaffee in 1918. The brand’s first central roasting facility was opened one year later
- In 2004, the brand was taken over by Drie Mollen, which was then re-branded United Coffee in 2010
- Other brand names as part of the Merkur range include: Merkur Kaffee, Caffè Spettacolo, Café Oncle Tom, Caffè Teatro, La Chiassese, Heidi Coffee and Chocolait

- Princess Tea was founded in 1818
- It uses only the best leaves, which are selected by hand from the finest tea areas of the world
- Products are 100% sustainable and are endorsed by the Max Havelaar signature, which guarantees that Princess Tea is bought under international Fairtrade regulation at tea-plantations in developing countries
Rosca Caffè
- One of the leading coffee roasters in Switzerland
- Rosca has a significant presence in the hotel, restaurant, café and catering sectors. It also supplies selected distributors and a number of private consumers via mail order
- Other brand name as part of the Rosca caffè range include: Heidi coffee
Sima Caffè
- Founded in 1969, Sima Caffè is the leading coffee roasting company in Graubünden, Switzerland
- The brand has a significant presence in the restaurant, hotel and hospital sectors. It also supplies a number of private consumers
Smit & Dorlas
- Founded in 1822 as a small coffee roaster for hotels and restaurants in Amsterdam
- Over time the brand has grown into a highly respected full concept coffee supplier with a large market share in the hotel and catering industry and an increasing market share in the business and office segment
- In addition to selling coffee machines, Smit & Dorlas roasts and delivers coffee beans, as well as, sells, advises on and services the espresso machines
- Machine brands include Thermoplan and La Cimbali
- Smit & Dorlas also produces Legends of Tea
Templo Café
- Templo Cafés was founded during 1996 and services the out-of-home market in Spain under the name "El Templo del Cafe"
- Templo Cafés is the fourth largest brand in the Spanish out-of-home and is backed by the second largest manufacturer in the country
- Under the concept Espress&Te, Templo Cafés offers several services and products relating to the coffee and tea industry, including machinery and customer sales
